NEBULIZATIONS

It is a treatment that is based on the administration of substances in the form of an aerosol by inhalation through a nebulizer which is a device in charge of generating aerosols of liquid particles of an adequate size so that they can be inhaled in the respiratory tract.

The nebulizer turns a drug solution into an inhalation aerosol. It allows the delivery of higher doses of the drug into the airways than usual with normal inhalers.

The efficacy of nebulization depends on many factors including, among others, the characteristics of the drug to be nebulized (particle size, shape, density, etc.), the anatomy of the airways, the patient's inhalation technique, the system mist used and its maintenance.

- COPD exacerbations - Asthma

- Bronchitis - Bronchiolitis
