¿Qué es un tratamiento de conductos radiculares?

Popularly known as nerve treatment consists of the extraction of the pulp tissue of the tooth, this is a small tissue in the form of a thread that is located in the center of the tooth canal.

Once the dead pulp becomes diseased or damaged, it is removed; the space that remains is cleaned, reshaped and filled. This procedure seals the root canal. Years ago, teeth with diseased or damaged pulps were removed. Today, root canal treatment saves teeth that might otherwise have been lost.

The most common causes of pulp damage or death are:

  • Fractured teeth

  • Deep cavities

  • Injuries, such as severe blows to the root (recent or past)

Once the pulp is infected or dead if left untreated, a deposit of pus is created at the tip of the root and an infection abscess forms, this abscess can destroy the bone surrounding the tooth and cause pain.

At the Vindas y Asociados Clinic we practice endodontics with the most modern principles, for this we use the preparation of the root canals with rotary instruments (not manual) and we use technology such as apex locators, magnifying glasses with LED light to perform high precision endodontic treatments.
